The Embassy of Pakistan in Rabat on Wednesday organized a special event to commemorate Kashmir Solidarity Day, which was attended by members of the Pakistani community and other participants.
During the event, participants highlighted that the Jammu and Kashmir dispute remains one of the oldest unresolved issues on the agenda of the United Nations Security Council, stressing that the issue continues to demand urgent international attention.

The participants also expressed serious concern over what they termed as grave human rights violations being perpetrated by Indian occupation forces in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), particularly since 5 August 2019.

The gathering reaffirmed Pakistan’s steadfast moral, political and diplomatic support to the Kashmiri people in their just struggle for the realization of their inalienable right to self-determination, in accordance with relevant UN Security Council resolutions.
The event further urged the international community to play its due role in ensuring a just and lasting settlement of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in line with international obligations and commitments.
