A steep fall in international bullion prices dragged down gold rates across Pakistan, with one tola losing Rs5,600 in value and 10 grams also recording a significant decline, according to market data released Monday.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Market and Jewellers Association, the price of one tola of gold now stands at Rs424,136 after a reduction of Rs5,600.
The price of 10 grams of gold also declined by Rs4,801 to Rs363,628.
Internationally, bullion prices slipped by $56 per ounce, bringing the global gold rate down to $4,017 per ounce.
Market analysts attribute domestic price movements to fluctuations in international bullion markets and exchange rate trends.
