The Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) has announced that Riyadh will host the fourth Global AI Summit from September 15 to 17, 2026, under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, and Chairman of SDAIA’s Board of Directors.
The summit is expected to draw a distinguished international lineup of senior government officials, technology leaders, global CEOs, innovators, researchers, and specialists in data and artificial intelligence. By convening global decision-makers, the event aims to foster dialogue, strengthen partnerships, and advance responsible AI development.
SDAIA President Dr. Abdullah Alghamdi thanked HRH the Crown Prince for his patronage, noting that such support has been instrumental in elevating Saudi Arabia’s standing in global AI rankings. He said the timing of the summit aligns with the rapid advancements that are reshaping societies, economies, and the future of technological innovation.
According to Dr. Alghamdi, the 2026 edition will play a key role in accelerating the Kingdom’s shift toward a knowledge-driven economy and supporting national priorities under Vision 2030. The event builds on the achievements of the previous summits held in 2020, 2022, and 2024, which produced major agreements and initiatives, including the establishment of the International Center for AI Research and Ethics (ICAIRE), a UNESCO-affiliated institution based in Riyadh.
He added that the upcoming summit reflects Saudi Arabia’s commitment to becoming a global center for artificial intelligence and highlights the country’s efforts to promote innovation, digital transformation, and sustainable economic growth.
