Saudi Arabia’s King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has extended emergency assistance to flood victims in Afghanistan by distributing 500 food baskets in Nuristan Province.

The relief package benefited 500 affected families, reaching around 3,500 individuals as part of the 2026 Food Security and Emergency Project aimed at assisting flood-hit populations across Afghanistan’s central, eastern, and southeastern regions.

The initiative reflects Saudi Arabia’s continued commitment to humanitarian support for the Afghan people, with KSrelief implementing relief programmes to provide essential supplies and ease the hardships faced by communities affected by disasters.

The latest food assistance initiative highlights the Kingdom’s ongoing efforts to strengthen humanitarian response and provide support to vulnerable groups in Afghanistan.
