Saudi Arabia’s humanitarian agency, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief), has successfully concluded the fifth and final phase of its Food Security Support Project 2025-26 in Pakistan, marking the completion of a major relief campaign aimed at assisting food-insecure communities nationwide.

The project covered 31 districts across Pakistan, including 10 districts in Punjab, five in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, seven in Balochistan, six in Sindh, and three districts in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), benefiting approximately 195,487 individuals.

As part of the relief operation, thousands of ration packages were distributed among deserving families. Each 97-kilogram package contained essential food commodities including 80 kilograms of flour, five liters of cooking oil, five kilograms of sugar, five kilograms of daal chana, and two kilograms of dates.

The initiative was implemented in coordination with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Provincial Disaster Management Authorities (PDMAs), local district administrations, and KSrelief’s partner organizations, including Hayat Foundation and Peace and Development Organization.

Officials associated with the project said the distribution mechanism was designed to ensure transparency and efficient delivery of aid to vulnerable households, particularly in underserved and economically stressed regions.

The completion of the nationwide campaign comes at a time when many low-income families continue to face financial pressure due to inflation and rising food costs, increasing the importance of humanitarian support initiatives.

KSrelief said the project reflects its ongoing commitment to humanitarian assistance and food security support in Pakistan, while also strengthening Saudi Arabia’s broader global relief efforts focused on vulnerable populations affected by poverty, disasters, and economic hardship.
