Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Malkiy has condemned Iranian strikes on Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries, citing civilian casualties, warning of wider global consequences, and acknowledging Pakistan’s ongoing diplomatic efforts to help reduce tensions in the region.Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Malkiy, has condemned recent Iranian attacks targeting the Kingdom and other Gulf countries, describing them as unjustified and deeply concerning.
“The recent Iranian attacks in the region, which have targeted the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries, are a matter of grave concern,” the ambassador said.
He termed the strikes “unjustified aggression against sovereign states that are not part of any dispute,” stressing that such actions undermine regional peace and stability.
Referring to the human toll, Al-Malkiy said, “As a result of these regrettable attacks, innocent civilian lives have been lost,” highlighting the seriousness of the situation.
He emphasized that the strategic importance of the region makes the crisis a global concern. “This is not merely a route for maritime vessels — the interests of the entire world, the stability of the global economy, and the security of humanity are all linked to this region,” he noted.
Warning against escalation, he added, “The threat does not remain regional; it becomes a global humanitarian issue affecting people’s lives and their fundamental right to security and stability.”
Calling for restraint and adherence to global norms, the envoy said, “Respect for international law is an indispensable necessity for safeguarding our common future.”
He also praised Pakistan’s role in easing tensions, stating, “We highly appreciate the position taken by the government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and its continuous diplomatic efforts.”
Reiterating Saudi Arabia’s stance, Al-Malkiy concluded, “The Kingdom firmly believes that wisdom and strict adherence to international law are the only way forward.”
