The Saudi Civil Defense team has intensified its training program in preparation for the upcoming World Fire and Rescue Sport Championship, which the Kingdom will proudly host from October 26 to November 1 in Riyadh.
The rigorous training camp, currently underway in the capital, features morning and evening sessions designed to build endurance, technical precision, and teamwork. The program is being conducted under the direct supervision of a team of specialized coaches and administrative staff, ensuring the squad’s readiness for international competition.
According to the General Directorate of Civil Defense, the camp aims to enhance the team’s physical and tactical performance ahead of the global event, which will draw elite firefighting and rescue teams from more than 20 countries.
Officials said the training sessions focus on mastering the championship’s four main disciplines — hook ladder climb, 100-meter obstacle course, 4×100-meter relay, and firefighting contest — all of which test agility, strength, and coordination.
The Civil Defense Directorate emphasized that participation in the championship reflects Saudi Arabia’s growing leadership in civil defense excellence, as well as its commitment to fostering international cooperation, public safety innovation, and the professional development of emergency responders.
The upcoming event is expected to serve as both a platform for global knowledge exchange and an opportunity to showcase the Kingdom’s organizational and operational capabilities in hosting world-class specialized sporting competitions.
